We established Agent back in 2006 – it feels like yesterday and what a ride it’s been. We turned 18 years old this year and the future has never looked brighter for us.

We’re a full-service brand and communications agency. In a nutshell, this means that we deliver a full integrated offering for our clients – from start to finish. Our clients are based all over the UK, across a whole range of different sectors and industries; clean growth, tech for good, connectivity etc. We’re in business for good and they are too. We help them share the great stuff they’re doing, while encouraging and supporting them to grow their businesses and make even bigger impact.

Last count, there are more than 42 of us in our growing team; strategists, designers, animators, programmers, UX designers, digital marketers, canines – the lot. We reckon there’ll be about 50 of us by the end of 2024. We’re a close-knit, passionate bunch that love working together and supporting each other; bringing our individual skills and talents together to create brilliant work that works is what we do best.

We’re a growing business and we’re doing it sensibly, responsibly, and sustainably. Last year we started on our B Corp journey – it’s high time we evidenced our long-standing commitment to the brilliant people around us, the places we live and work, and of course, our planet.

The role will involve:

Insight and Engagement  

You are a naturally inquisitive, strategic thinker who has a desire to walk in the shoes of our clients every day. Our clients are at the forefront of their industries, creating work that empowers their communities and our society. You will lead the engagement process, understanding how they work and building up a deep knowledge of their world, always with an empathetic and informed ear.  

Through dynamic, engaging interviews, focus groups and workshops underpinned by detailed desk-based research, you will develop insights that challenge our clients and provide strategic direction that is consistently transformational.  

 

Leadership  

Able to inspire, motivate and lead team members from across each department to create work that is transformational for our clients.  

You will also have the skills to lead our clients through the strategy process, including a confident, well prepared presentation style, the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear manner and client relationship building to allow you to become a key partner to those we work with and for.  

 

Expertise and Knowledge 

An acknowledged and appreciated strategy expert within Agent, who is able to provide strategic insight to colleagues in a proactive and regular manner.  

You have a clear learning agility, able to take on new ideas quickly, interpreting complex ideas and explaining them in a simple, sensitive and articulate style.  

A knowledge expert in your industry, you have a significant profile within the regional and national business sector, and a strong knowledge of the growth sectors and wider regional economy.

A vocal champion of best practice within Agent, constantly pushing the standards higher to achieve outstanding results for our clients and maximise our own efficiency. You are constantly striving to understand how we can do things better for our clients and sharing your learnings with colleagues. 

 

Quality & Attention to Detail 

You will have overall responsibility for the standard of strategic output for the projects that you lead, as such, your quality and attention to detail must be exceptional. You will be responsible for managing and tracking your projects using our project management software and planning tools, making sure they come in on time and on budget.  

 

Innovation 

To gain the highest quality insight from your clients, you will constantly be looking for new methods and utilising the most effective technology available. You will be a leader within the organisation in sharing and embedding the most innovative tools available, both internally with colleagues and externally when showcasing our work to clients.  

 

Planning 

You will be responsible for managing a dynamic portfolio of projects, spread across a multitude of industries with a wide range of stakeholders. Your ability to plan and prioritise effectively is integral to the success of all of your projects, ensuring that deadlines are achieved, and sufficient time is considered to create insights that add substantial client value.  

 

Representing Agent 

As a leader within the business, you have a key role as an advocate and champion for the Agent brand. A confident networker, you will be keen to attend relevant events and conferences in order to develop your knowledge and opportunities for the clients you are advising. You will be proactive on social media to understand your stakeholder base, whilst sharing your own experiences.  

 

Business Acumen 

Due to your credibility and experience, clients place a deep value on your counsel and insight. Constantly looking for areas for professional development to sharpen your business intelligence and understanding, you are motivated to share your knowledge with colleagues to create a leading environment for all of those around you.  

 

Sales & Business Development 

Through your knowledge of our clients, you will be an integral cog in the business development engine. Far after the initial engagement period has ended, you are developing new campaigns and recommendations to guide the growth of our clients and bond them closer to Agent. Your business knowledge and awareness of current affairs within the economic and political spheres enables you to pitch and present with confidence to open up opportunities with new and existing clients.
