We were appointed by Ferdinando & Luigi Innocenti Foundation (F&LI Foundation) to develop, produce and execute a strategic and comprehensive brand identity, including website, creative and supporting integrated communications.

F&LI Foundation is a new family foundation reimagining the third sector with youth-led funding, supporting disadvantaged young people to have fun, find purpose in life and experience the joy of leading their own personal growth.

Ferdinando and Luigi Innocenti were innovative entrepreneurs from Italy. One of their most recognisable products, the Lambretta scooter, brought freedom, fun and opportunity to young people, selling over 4,000,000 units worldwide.

This spirit informed the golden thread - Sparking Joy - of our simultaneous, collaborative and full-team service, from strategy to creative, communications and digital.

The Challenge:

According to the Charity Commission, there are 9,000 applications for new initiatives each year. F&LI Foundation had to cut through the noise.

With huge partnerships confirmed with two of the biggest charities in the world - BBC Children in Need and Virgin’s Big Change - F&LI Foundation needed a striking, confident and vibrant personality to reflect its strapline of Sparking Joy.

We combined the entrepreneurial inspiration of Ferdinando and Luigi Innocenti with their passion for supporting, mentoring and inspiring young people.

Our Solution: 

As the F&LI Foundation team are based worldwide, our strategy team implemented wide-ranging, interactive workshops to inform and create a comprehensive brand architecture and strategic communications plan, allowing our creatives to design a dynamic and visually striking brand identity and habitat.

Our creative team encouraged F&LI Foundation to be bold in developing their visual brand identity, striking a balance between visually appealing and instantly informative. This led to the design of all F&LI Foundation hero assets, including the ‘Spark’ logo, illustrations, icons, animations and videography, maintaining the brand synergy outlined by strategy at the beginning of the process.

Our digital teams worked simultaneously to create and populate a striking, fully optimised and user-friendly website, collaborating with creative to produce an interactive timeline of Innocenti and the formation of F&LI Foundation.

It was also key to position F&LI Foundation as a leading voice in the third sector from the outset. We produced a full-scale social media rollout alongside a targeted PR campaign, informed by its detailed insights, to launch F&LI Foundation publicly and raise awareness of its mission.

Our comprehensive support for F&LI Foundation continued throughout its London launch event, creating a 3D visual logo experience for attendees as they entered the room. On the night, F&LI Foundation presented its spectacular brand video, entirely storyboarded, scripted, filmed and produced by our teams, including first-class illustrations and animations exclusively hand-drawn by our team.
